How to use Afterlog

Afterlog is an action reflection journal. It helps you record one small action, revisit the outcome later, and notice patterns from your own records.

1. Today

The Today tab shows a daily action prompt. Use it as a starting point for one real moment, such as pausing before a reply, clarifying a work message, or taking one small step on a task.

If you have records waiting for review, they appear as revisit reminders so you can come back when the result is clearer.

2. Create an action record

Tap the action button to create a record. Choose a category, select how you plan to practice, add a short note if needed, and choose when to revisit it.

Revisit options may include tonight, tomorrow, in a few days, or no reminder. “No reminder” saves the record without scheduling a notification.

3. Revisit the outcome

When you review a record, mark how it turned out: progress, steady, blocked, or pending. Then mark whether you followed through: done, partly done, or not done.

You can add one short reflection note to capture what actually happened. Keep it factual and specific; a long entry is not required.

4. Records

The Records tab organizes all saved records. You can review records waiting for revisit, completed records, and your full action trail.

You can delete an individual record from the records list. Deleted records are no longer used for reports or AI reflections.

5. Reports and AI reflections

The Report tab summarizes recent records, including record count, revisit count, completion status, and outcome distribution.

Optional AI reflections can generate an action pattern review or record quality analysis from recent records. The app uses only the records you authorize and does not use deleted records.

If the AI service is unavailable or quota is reached, the app may show a local reference version instead.

6. Data & privacy controls

In Profile · Data & Privacy, you can allow or disable AI insight authorization, export all records as JSON, or clear all practice records from the device.

Records stay on this device by default. Export and delete are always your choice.

7. Reminder settings

In Reminder Settings, you can enable revisit reminders and choose the default reminder time. Reminders are stored on this device and sent as local notifications.

If notification permission is not enabled, the app will ask you to enable it before reminders can be delivered.

Important note
