Afterlog Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
1. What Afterlog stores
Afterlog stores the action records you create, including the prompt, category, practice method, revisit time, completion status, outcome, and optional notes.
Records stay on your device by default and are used to show your records list, revisit reminders, basic reports, and saved reflections.
2. Local settings and reminders
The app may store preferences such as language, onboarding status, reminder settings, default reminder hour, AI authorization status, and saved report content.
Revisit reminders are stored on this device and delivered as local notifications. If you do not grant notification permission, reminders may not be delivered.
3. AI insight authorization
AI insights are optional. When AI insight authorization is enabled and you request a reflection, selected recent records may be sent to an AI service through our secure endpoint.
The request may include your practice records, completion status, revisit outcomes, notes, app language, and a device identifier used for quota and service protection. Firebase App Check may be used to verify that requests come from the app.
Deleted records are not used. AI reflections are generated from records you choose and are not shown publicly to other users.
4. Reports and local fallback
Basic reports, such as record count, revisit count, completion status, and outcome distribution, are calculated from saved records.
If the AI service is unavailable, unauthorized, or over quota, the app may generate a local reference version so you can still review your recent records.
5. Ads and subscriptions
The app includes infrastructure for ads and subscriptions. When ads are enabled, rewarded ads may be used before generating additional AI reviews or analyses.
Advertising partners may process device or ad-related information according to their own privacy policies and platform rules. Subscription features may be used to remove ads or unlock higher usage limits when available.
6. Export and deletion
In Data & Privacy, you can export records as JSON or clear all practice records from the device.
Clearing records is permanent and cannot be undone. Once records are deleted, they are no longer used for reports or AI insights.
7. Children’s privacy
Afterlog is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review the request.
8. Professional advice disclaimer
Afterlog is for personal action notes and self-reflection. It does not provide medical, mental health treatment, legal, financial, investment, or other professional advice.
